Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Highest Priority Needs

This fund supports programs and initiatives that ensure equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) as part of Laurier’s core values as a learning institution.

Funds will be accessed to support teaching and learning, and the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, which must take place in an institution that recognizes the dignity and value of each and every one of its students, staff and faculty members. For example, this could include, but is not limited to: education and awareness programs, EDI facing research, funding for innovative course design, campus EDI events, public art projects, community facing initiatives and supports to bring high-profile speakers to campus.

The CSEDI works to cultivate a culture on campus that respects and promotes equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) and social justice in all aspects of Laurier – from classrooms to residence communities.
