TIME | 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Football is more than what happens on the field. The team atmosphere creates a space where diverse skill and perspectives are celebrated and contribute to its strength and success.

Join us to hear Laurier and CFL alumni Justin Shakell (BA '03) and Hugh Lawson (BA '92) on a panel with Coach Michael Faulds and Vice President of Student Affairs, Ivan Joseph, discussing equity, diversity and inclusion in Canadian football and beyond.

During this event, we will recognize Justin as a recipient of the inaugural Indigenous Champions Award being awarded by the Canadian Football League Alumni Association at the Grey Cup Legends Luncheon the following day.

In the leadup to Grey Cup weekend, let’s celebrate the end of another Laurier Golden Hawks Football season. Following the panel discussion, reflect with Coach Faulds on the season and get excited about plans for 2022.
